Little Bubu Gregory

Been a while since I published a blog so what the heck let's start this thing again. Been a lot going on recently, mainly the stress of moving house and working hard. As a result we made the decision a few weeks ago to spend some time in Slovakia with Dadi's family to rest up. Got some fresh news actually - Dadi is 13 weeks pregnant, or was that 14 weeks?!

Dadi has nicknamed the baby 'Little Bubu Gregory' which is quite cute. I am still trying to get my head around the idea really. Due date is 25th June which is really quite soon. Our lives will change forever and all the other cliches but I am just looking forward to it all. It will be nice to be in the summer house with 'Little Bubu Gregory' as it will be a perfect environment for a child.

Almost forgot - we moved house recently which was obviously really stressy. Might post some pictures of the new place. The reason why we moved was because the old place was opposite a pub and we also had very noisy neighbours. The new place is just so quite, so much so that it feels as though we are the only ones making any noise!

Busy Week

Been a really busy week of 0445 starts at work, three on the bounce in fact. Went to Wales last weekend, which gave Dadi and I the rare opportunity to take a much-needed break away from home. There's been a lot of anxiety between us regarding the new place this week but we got the nod mid-week and we will now be moving in next weekend. Just to end this very busy week in style we decided to do IKEA on a Saturday! It was quite civilised really. We got there for opening and had breakfast. Walking around the displays proved productive as we had been giving each other ideas all week on how we would like things to look in our new home.

Wales was very calming. Stayed with cousins who are really laid back which helped us relax. We drove to Bethlehem for fine views of the surrounding plateau and then to Llandeilo which was very picturesque. We also took in a lake at Gorslas which had excellent footpaths.

Odd Shapes (we hope)

Found a flat to live in, we hope. It's a top-floor property for rent but it is also available for sale. Because it's in the roof as it were, the walls slope, with a lovely feature being the velux windows. Plenty of space for two little people and later a little dot, we hope. So we're just waiting for references to come good and we're in on the first of February, we hope.

Wedding Plans

Well the wedding plans are now almost complete except for the paper invites that still need to be posted. It's just hit me really about how soon the wedding is. Before Christmas it seemed an age away yet now, albeit only a short time into the new year, it all seems quite immediate. I'm super excited about it all, especially the food and drink that will be consumed! Guests will receive an aperitif of Vodka Martinis (shaken, not stirred). The main meal will be Chicken Cordon Bleu, served with apricot, followed by buffet snack food later on. I've requested Slovak beers although Dadi's dad says we will have Pilsner too, which I assume will be the outstanding Urquell Pilsner as available here in Sainsburys. I personally will deal in Zlatý Bažant and Šariš. The honeymoon has all been confirmed too - two weeks in Tunisia all-inclusive, nice.
